why the rhino?

Recklessly Following JesusWe are concerned that our church (and the church in general) has drifted toward becoming far too safe… too conscious of maintaining the organization… trying too much to please and serve its members. In order to remind ourselves of the priorities that we have, we’ve adopted the logo/metaphor of the rhino. The rhino is fast (runs 30 miles an hour) but has limited vision – can only see a distance of 30 feet. As a church, we want to become more “rhino like”… going full speed ahead to carry out the mission that God has given us in spite of the fact that what lies in future is unclear and often dangerous.
